Detailed description

General Objectives

Creating knowledge, the achieving scientific and technological results, globally competitive, to increase international visibility of Romanian research and subsequently transfer the results in socio-economic practice;

Increased competitiveness of Romanian economy through innovation, impact on the economic and knowledge transfer in economic practice, increased social quality, namely technical and scientific solutions supporting social development and improve its human.

Specific Objectives

The project aims at achieving a systemic technologies emissions reduction, for the overall operation of gas turbine - afterburner on natural gas with water injection (laboratory level).

The activities and responsabilities of each partner

The objective of the project during any stage of the project quantified mainly by:

  • equipment for water injection in gas turbine ;
  • test bench for gas turbine – afterburner assembly , water injection;
  • modules of afterburner - spare parts, tested in industrial conditions;
  • numerical model for water injection in gas turbine and flue gases that enters in afterburner.

Project Stages

I

Analysis of data on methods of reducing pollutants and increasing efficiency in cogenerative power plants. Characterization system and location choice - INCDT COMOTI, UPB-CCT, ICEMENERG

II

Technical solutions for the integrated turboengine - afterburner - INCDT COMOTI, ICEMENERG

III

Execution documentation for equipments and laboratory ensemble of injection water-afterburning. Numerical modeling of processes at the injection of water into turbo-engine. Laboratory tests on atomizer - INCDT COMOTI , UPB-CCT, ICEMENERG, ERG, TERMOCAD.

IV

Execution of components and the assembly. Montage and tests for ensemble. Technical project - INCDT COMOTI, PETROM Grup OMV, UPB-CCT, ICEMENERG, ERG, TERMOCAD.

Consortium

INCDT COMOTI (CO)

It is the only specialized entity in Romania that include scientific research, design, production, experimentation, testing, technologic transfer and innovation in aviation turbo-engines, industrial gas turbine engines and high speed bladed machines

PETROM Grup OMV

(partner P1)

He had a spectacular evolution after privatization in 2004, with activities in the domain: Exploration and Production, Refining, Marketing natural gas. Modernization process initiated in 2005 is in progress, according to Petrom development strategy until 2010.

UPB-CCT (partner P2)

Has activities related to: the development of advanced energy solutions for engine ignition and spark operating with diesel engines and fuels classics or unconventionals; sustainable development facilities and systems burning liquid fuels and gas (classic and unconventional) for producing electricity and heat with highlighting activities maintenance and promotion of technologies to reduce polluting emissions; analysis technical-economic s thermal systems,

ICEMENERG (partner P3)

Perform services for scientific research and engineering technology to increase efficiency in electricity and heat, with over 10 projects CEEX.

ERG

(partner P4)

It specializes in designing equipment thermal (steam boilers, hot water boilers) on various fuels (gas, liquid, solid), specific equipment for thermal (heat exchangers, boilers, pressure containers) and development projects thermal in full.

TERMOCAD (partner P5)

It authorized ISCIR for design and execution automation boilers, burners, central heating.
