Detailed Description

Project Summary

The aim of this project is to achieve a new advanced materials, surface coatings for the "diffusion with ceramic coating”, which has characteristics very different resistance to high temperatures (above 1370 ° C) having excellent properties in terms of corrosion and wear even specify and the highly aggressive gaseous own power.

The project aims at achieving some strategic objectives in the development of science technologies and high applications as well as the development of European research – development infrastructures.
The project also aims at elaboration, homologation and testing of new technologies that as a result of integration with the newly made material to result in the increase of coverage bed elasticity (finish) so that they can be applied with very good results in elastic components of the turbo engines.
Using a thermo resistant email is owned by the logic of their surfaces to form thin layers of hard metal, refractory and impervious to the substances in waste gases, with good mechanical properties (resistance to shock, to rupture, elasticity) at high temperatures and resistance heat shock.
By a thermo resistant enameling, the parts or the components of the turbo motors increase their life cycle (resource), in order to doubling the size.

Essential properties are: refractoriness, high temperature resistance, compatibility with the basic material (strength, coefficients of expansion similar), thermal shock resistance, resistance to corrosion and wear.

The results of the project involve development - testing - testing - approval of new prescription personalized email field on the temperature approached without neglecting the basic properties, especially those imposed by the elastic components subject project. Technology to be developed must take into account that uses a new material that must be completed with the achievement of products with special features strictly imposed.

Project Objectives

The general objective is the realization of a protection bed with the following properties and characteristics :

  • chemical stability in working area, resistance to corrosion;
  • mechanical stability at high temperatures; ;
  • suitable thermal stability and properties;
  • high resistance to thermal shock;
  • suitable mechanical properties especially to abradability;
  • tenacity and impact resistance
  • enough content and mobility through diffusion of elements or stages with protective role;
  • good adherence;
  • compatibility between physical-mechanical properties of the coverage bed and basic sub-bed
  • low interdiffusion rate.
The project objectives are:
- A new advanced material, resistant to high temperatures (above 1370 0 C) with excellent properties regarding corrosion and wear specific ; environments of gaseous combustion turbo motors
- Developing a special technology to be materialized, (using the material mentioned above), with an increase in elasticity layer so as to be applicable and to deliver results in elastic components of power.

Project Stages

Stage I - New solution for turbo engines elastic parts coating

Stage II - A new theory in the materials and technologies for surface coatings of the elastic components of turbo engines domain

Stage III - Fabrication of the new material , finalization of the technology technologies for surface coatings of the elastic components of turbo engines domain

Stage IV - Experimental pattern fabrication

Stage V - Elaboration of the prototype testes and verifications

Stage VI - Elaboration of the prototype homologation plan, prototype homologation

Stage VII - Elaboration of the informative materials view to technological transfer, courses, practical probes, qualification

Stage VIII - Materialization of a technological network for the project domain
